(Lanka-e-News- 01.Aug.2015, 5.00PM) Those behind the ruthless brutal shooting incident that killed and injured several of his supporters at Bloemendhal road are none other than Rajapakses and their restless ‘ghosts’ who after defeat are so desperate that in their maniacal power craze and murderous craving are resorting to the worst of criminal activities oblivious even of lives of innocent people or the peace of the country , said ex minister Ravi Karunanayake at a media briefing held immediately after the tragedy , while also warning the Rajapakses not to distort the true picture by simply blaming it on underworld members .
This is a cold calculated conspiracy to devastate the welcome democratic processes that are forging ahead under the Maithri - Ranil government of good governance , the ex minister further pointed out.
The recent ugly episodes of discovery of remote control bomb ; seizing a white van suddenly ; and finding a bag containing a dead body yesterday preceding this brutal shooting are a chain of premeditated pre arranged events which are attempts aimed at proving that democracy in the country is ebbing away , Ravi Karunanayake pinpointed while clearly issuing a warning to the criminal perpetrators not to try to pin the blame on the underworld criminals falsely, in order to save their own skin.
Ravi revealed that the black colored vehicle before the brutal shooting of innocent people ,was seen at several places today in and around, based on the pictures captured by the media cameras. It is likely just before elections, desperate demonic Rajapakses will even stoop to exploding a bomb at their own meeting , in order to give the impression there are still terrorists by citing these violent episodes. Hence , vis a vis these dubious aims and objectives of these cruel traitorous villains , he has no idea to ask for a security beef up selfishly , Ravi noted
