It is significant to note , all these blameworthy appointments have been made by the SLFP ‘partner’ of the national government .This is an unequivocal indisputable truth ,’
a former president of the country Ms. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge categorically stated while adding that she has nothing to do with these appointments.
‘I did not even know that ministers , deputy ministers and ministry were appointed.The relevant authrorities did not ask about it from me .I have no involvement in them ,and people are critical of some of these appointments.
We were however most hopeful that with the political upheaval on 8 th January, all the rogues , heroin Mudalalis, casino moghuls and corrupt politicos can be eliminated. In fact the people gave us a mandate for that. In spite of that wrongful appointments have taken place allegedly .In any event I have nothing to do with such appointments.If such appointments have taken place I am absolutely opposed to them ,’ the former president emphatically stated
