(Lanka-e-News -16.Nov.2025, 11.00 PM) A new 34-storey office tower, to be named Colombo Gateway Tower One, is set to be developed within Colombo Port City, introducing a suite of state-of-the-art corporate and commercial facilities.
The project is being led by Canary Wharf Holdings Ltd, a consortium of leading Singaporean investors. The foundation stone is scheduled to be laid in May 2026, with completion targeted for June 2029.
Canary Wharf serves as the construction arm of Platinum Advisors Ltd, the investment advisory firm behind the broader Colombo Gateway development.
The consortium plans to build a tower comprising 28 floors of premium office space, spanning a total of approximately 28,000 square metres, alongside additional levels allocated for modern retail and leisure amenities.
The development will feature smart-grade office environments, high-specification facilities and contemporary retail areas, designed to meet the standards expected in an international business hub.
The project forms part of a wider ambition to position Colombo Port City as Sri Lanka’s foremost commercial and financial centre, with the aim of attracting both domestic and foreign enterprise.
