Kumarasinghe Sirisena has sent his son to study in America on ‘call termination’ extortion monies..!

-His assets shall be probed

(Lanka-e-News- 20.Feb.2016, 8.00 AM) Kumarasinghe Sirisena the chairman of SLT/Mobitel has sent his son to America for studies out of the extortion payments collected by him from ‘call termination’ racketeers , according to reports reaching Lanka e news inside information division.

It is after Kumarasinghe became the chairman of SLT/Mobitel he had admitted his son to the University ‘Florida Institute of Technology.’ The entire expenditure in this regard is being met by the call termination tracketeers along wth  a most notorious wheeler dealer who jointly with the Rajapakses robbed public funds.

This wheeler dealer is a most close bosom pal of Kumarasinghe , and last Sunday both of them had boozed together in Kumarasinghe’s house. This wheeler dealer had told Kumarasinghe , he could not attend the inauguration ceremony of Mahinda Rajapakse’s new office  , but he saw to it a sum of Rs. 1 million is sent for the ceremony, while adding ‘after all, we earned and prospered because of him.’

To Kumarasinghe , his wheeler dealer crook and bosom pal  helping Mahinda Rajapakse  (who is  an enemy of his brother)  is not a matter for concern , because his full gaze is  fixed on his illicit black money  earnings from the call termination racket.

These crooked dealers who ought to obtain an  E 1 line or SIP trunk line , are via the VOIP technology on the sly securing the calls without payment  thereby depriving the SLT Co . of its revenue. These dealers are pocketing the entire   collection secretly.

Ordinarily , for an IDD call per minute , a sum of Rs. 14.00 must be paid to the SLT alone, whereas this call is sold on the sly at a much lesser levy of Rs. 7.00 . A part of this pecuniary gain goes to line the pocket of the ‘lokka’ (chief) of the SLT as extortion payment .

These racketeers through the web grant membership to  the Sri Lankans abroad , and based on the passport copy furnished  , a foreign  SIM card is issued to him/her. Thereafter about Rs. 5000.00 is collected ,  and the calls taken under that number by that individual are treated  as though they are local calls in respect of that customer. That is , the IDD call is charged at local call rate.

Might we make special mention ,all these rackets can be carried out only until these call termination racketeers of SLT/Mobitel are not seized. Intriguingly , though there is a division equipped with the apparatus to nab these racketeers , Kumarasinghe the chairman has de activated that  division , and transferred out the chief of that division who had foreign training.

It will  therefore be in the best interests of all if those conducting the investigations also immediately focus on the assets of Kumarasinghe , and probe into it. The root of the evil shall be struck at . Merely lopping off the branches will only permit the evil to re-grow with greater vigor and vitality.

(There is a possibility for the SLT/Mobitel chairman to ban this news report using his powers and influence , and deprive  the SLT /Mobitel customers of the right of  access to the website. We have therefore taken steps to publish this report in toto via our facebook.)
